What's In A Name?

"What's In A Name?" to quote Shakespeare, can be swapped out or remixed as "What's Inn a Name?" for this blog. If I had a dollar (not a dime, due to rise in inflation) for every time a guest asked "Why Pedal'rs Inn?", I'd have a collection of mini-coopers. If you know me well, I love my mini. So here's my story and I'm sticking to it.

A new business needs a great locationWaukesha County MDA Jail Fundraiser Delafield Brewhause like the Kettle Moraine in Waukesha County and a great marketing name.  Back in the late 1800's, Wales' village residents called this house the "Ty Mawr", translated means the Big House and the owners, the "Fy Mwr", so it goes. But can you imagine calling our luxury inn "The Big House"? Travelers may think they'd be given "3 squares a day" and a cot, or that they're staying at the Michigan Stadium Big House in the other state on the other side of Lake Michigan. The Welsh Inn would've been good, IF I were Welsh. So, it was the Chicago Northwest Railway and the Glacial Drumlin State Trail that spurred the brand name. Relaxing on the porch, watching pedalers cruising on the trail, it seemed fitting to promote the causeway that helped make Wales what it is today! So thank you pedalers for Pedal'rs Inn!

(But don't be confused with peddlers, pedlars, pedlrs or even paddlers, although the Lake Express high speed ferry can bring you across Lake Michigan to the land of the running rivers and lakes where Milwaukee Kayak Company or Clearwater Outdoor  can get you paddling!)
